Animated 10-year-old ready for an audience
When foster children are up for adoption it's because they've experienced things kids shouldn't have to.
After the trauma of abuse or neglect, it's a lot easier to heal from their past when children are in a loving, supportive family.
Ten-year-old Nicholas has been in foster care since he was three. He's definitely ready for a family to enjoy his hobbies with, like fishing and playing sports.
Nicholas is going into fifth grade, and he’ll remind you what it is to see things from a child's eyes.

"He can come up with the most amazing things. You know, his perspective on things, to make you really think about, 'You know? I overlooked that.’ I forgot to step back and relax and see what he sees in things,” caseworker Rebecca Popesaid.
Nicholas also likes to cruise the toy aisles at Wal-Mart, his favorite store.
"That is his favorite store in the world. If he sees a Wal-Mart, 'Please, can we stop? Please can we stop?'" Pope said.
Just like every kid loves the toy aisle, every kid loves - and needs - to belong.
