SAN ANTONIO -- Susie Castillo, 23, of Massachusetts is the new Miss USA.
The office manager and model says she hopes to raise the stature of Hispanics and downplay stereotypes.
She'll be America's candidate in the Miss Universe pageant in June in Panama City, Panama.
Michelle Arnette, Miss Alabama, was first runner-up and home state favorite Nicole O'Brian of Texas was second runner-up at the pageant in San Antonio.
This was the first year that the pageant was seen on NBC after the end of a long association with CBS. It is now co-owned by NBC and Donald Trump.
