The Department of Public Safety has identified Daniel Paul Jandle, 57, of Dripping Springs as the man who was killed in a collision on US Highway 290 in western Travis County Thursday morning.
Investigators said Jandle was trying to walk across the highway near near Oliver Drive, about eight miles west of Oak Hill.
Jandle was struck by a car heading westbound on 290.
Jandle died at the scene. The driver who hit him was not ticketed.
