Williamson County Representative Mike Krusee bailed out of jail Thursday morning after being arrested for driving while intoxicated.
The Department of Public Safety said Krusee was pulled over in Northwest Austin Wednesday night after a trooper noticed his vehicle driving erratically.
The vehicle also had an expired registration sticker.
After smelling alcohol on Krusee's breath, DPS said he failed field sobriety tests.
Krusee was taken to the Williamson County jail where he refused a breathalyzer.
He posted bail for $1,000.
Krusee is a Republican from Round Rock and the chairman of the House Transportation Committee.
He is not running for re-election this year.
