Long before Los Lonely Boys blew up into the biggest little rock band to come out of Texas since Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble, early adopters — including none other than Willie Nelson — knew they were onto something huge.
Of course, the components were so can't-miss, you'd swear they were contrived if they weren't so obviously organic.
Take three young brothers — Henry, JoJo and Ringo Garza — from the quiet little town of San Angelo, fine-tune their natural blood-brother harmonies to Beatlesque perfection, school them in the blues, country and rock 'n' roll through years of backing their father in clubs from Southern California to Nashville, and then throw them headlong into the Live Music Capital of the World, and voila! A bona fide phenomenon. And all of that was even before the Brothers Garza won over thousands of new fans at such high-profile venues as Farm Aid, The Tonight Show, Austin City Limits and of course, last year's Austin City Limits Music Festival.

The Los Lonely Boys' ride is only just beginning: earlier this year, their critically acclaimed, self-titled debut (originally released by Or Music) was given an extra boost of major-label muscle thanks to a new multi-album deal with Epic.
Clearly, the winners of this year's "Band of the Year," "Album of the Year," "Song of the Year" and "Best Rock Band" honors at the Austin Music Awards are well on their way towards even bigger things like their recent performance with Carlos Santana at the Latin Grammy Awards.
Catch Los Lonely Boys on Friday at 8:45 p.m. on the Cingular Stage.
