Adam joined the News 8 Austin weather team in February 2008, and almost immediately encountered one of his most memorable weather experiences.
Adam said April 25, 2008, is a day he will never forget as he spent eight hours on-air covering severe weather. With multiple tornados and softball-size hail in Bell County, Adam monitored the scariest radar images he has ever seen.
Adam came to News 8 Austin from the Fox affiliate in San Antonio. Prior to that, he was at the NBC affiliate in Hastings, Neb., where he covered everything from major tornado outbreaks to blizzards.
Adam is originally from Oak Brook, Ill. (a suburb of Chicago). He attended Purdue University in West Lafayette, Ind., where he received his meteorology degree. Also, Adam has been awarded the American Meteorological Society Seal of Approval.
While he misses home, Adam has grown very fond of Texas, especially after meeting his fiancée in San Antonio. As a year-round golfer, the nice weather is a bonus, too.
