During the month of September, the Austin Children’s Museum is offering free admission to refugees of hurricane Katrina. Also, donations made during the Museum’s Community Nights will be donated to the Central Texas Red Cross and the Southeastern Museums Conference Fund.

Financial gifts should go to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund which allows the Red Cross to provide shelter, food, counseling and other assistance to those in need. Katrina: All-Day Benefit for Hurricane Victims
In coordination with Lovejoys Tap Room and Brewery, Austin DJ Miguel Harvey will host the Bayou Benefit for the victims of Hurricane Katrina. The family-friendly, outdoor event will feature live music, activities for kids and a variety of food and beverage vendors.
